Summer tailoring doesn’t get better than Bermuda shorts! Still smart enough for a rooftop rosé (a girl can but DREAM) but casual enough to throw on with a cami top and sandals for daytime, they’re the perfect smart casj staple to have in your wardrobe. I love wearing linen in the Summer months, so these classic shorty boys are coming home with me.
I am loving a tailored short at the moment and these Weekday ones are divine. Styled with a cute tank top and some chunky sandals like these Dr. Martens ones, it’s a great casual look for any occasion!
Although Bermuda shorts are typically more tailored, I’ve gone for a more casual, dressed down version because I have been living exclusively in comfy clothes for approximately 2 months now. I feel like this makes the perfect running errands outfit tbh!
Have to admit that I’m not sure I’ve ever owned a pair of Bermuda shorts but I’ve seen a lot of stylish people in my Instagram feed rocking them and I’ve almost been tempted so many times. I think this might be the nudge I needed. I found these gorgeous satin light pink ones on &otherstories and paired it with a white strappy top and leopard print sandals!
I recently purchased these smart paper bag waist shorts from H&M but the jury is still out on whether they suit me or not! I’ve paired them with this super cool boxy t-shirt from the Daily Paper and a pair of shoes I can’t stop wearing from a brand called Asra on ASOS. Every time you buy a pair of Asra shoes they donate to the Asra fund which helps children suffering in India.
I have to admit I had to google “Bermuda shorts” to find out what exactly it was, turns out they’re just long shorts which is very much up my street. Long gone are the hotpants denim cut-offs (not sure I ever pulled those off anyway) but I’m all for a longer, much more modest cut these days.
